A Brief Essay on a Connection between Sex Industry and Crime
Lee Gab-Ok

Abstract
In these days, the number of enterprises which provide sex-related products and services has been increasing in Korea. The presence of sexually oriented businesses has usually resulted in negative consequences such as increased levels of crime. As permissible forms in the context of protecting children and adolescents, a municipality enacts an ordinance regulating the places where the businesses may operate in the USA, while the businesses are not permitted only inside the school zone in Korea. Irrespective of ways of regulating the business, it is absolutely necessary to crack down consistently on the illegal business activities to minimize adverse secondary effects of sexually oriented businesses. Moreover, the central or local government should have enact an effective decree or ordinance to regulate the business.
